Peterson-Foss Named Regis Athletic Director

Regis Catholic Schools is pleased to introduce Amy Peterson-Foss as the new Regis Athletic Director (Grades 5-12). She brings more than 20 years of experience in athletics, youth programming, leadership, risk management, and program development to the Regis community.

Amy grew up in Boyd, Wisconsin, and came to Eau Claire to attend UW-Eau Claire. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology – Exercise Management and has been rooted in the Eau Claire community ever since.

In 2005, Amy began her career at the Eau Claire Indoor Sports Center, where she served as Executive Director. When the YMCA purchased the facility in 2018, Amy continued as Executive Director while also taking on additional leadership responsibilities throughout the Association, with much of her work focused on school-age child care and youth programming. In late 2024, Amy transitioned into the role of Executive Director of Program Quality, where she has led the Association's work in Child Abuse Prevention, Risk Management, and Compliance. Her career has been centered around creating safe, meaningful, and high-quality experiences for children and families while supporting staff and leaders in doing their best work.

Now, Amy is excited to bring that experience and passion for youth development to Regis athletics.

“Athletics have the ability to teach lessons that go far beyond the scoreboard”, she said. “They give students opportunities to build confidence, learn how to work as a team, navigate challenges, and discover what they are capable of.”

As Athletic Director, Amy is looking forward to building strong relationships with student-athletes, coaches, families, and the Regis community while supporting a culture that values both competitive excellence and character development.

“My goal is to create an athletic experience where students feel supported, challenged, and proud to represent Regis. I want our coaches and student-athletes to know that I am in their corner and that I’m committed to helping them succeed-on the field, in the classroom, and in life.”

Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeremy, whom she has been married to for 14 years, and their three children, ages 9, 11, and 13. Their family lives on the south side of Eau Claire and stays busy supporting their children's many athletic activities.

“I am excited to begin this next chapter at Regis, and I look forward to getting to know the student-athletes, coaches, families, and community that make Regis athletics special.”

Amy will officially step into her role as Regis Athletic Director on Monday, August 24. Moving forward, she will provide leadership for athletic programs serving students in grades 5-12, working closely with coaches, student-athletes, families, and school leadership to ensure Regis athletics continue to reflect the school's mission of faith, excellence, and belonging.

"We are excited to welcome Amy to the Regis Catholic Schools family," said President Paul Pedersen. "Her experience, character, and commitment to servant leadership make her an outstanding fit for our community. We are confident she will help strengthen our athletic program while ensuring Regis Catholic Schools remains a place where students grow in character, faith, teamwork, and competitive excellence."

Please join us in welcoming Amy to Rambler Nation and keep our coaches, student-athletes, and the entire Regis Catholic Schools community in your prayers as we begin this new chapter together.
